Hi! 

I'd like to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Vlad and I'm a literature student at the University of Exeter. I've always loved books and writing, and being in my second year, I decided to create this blog where I can upload some of my favourite pieces of work. 

When I was younger, I fell in love with photography. I'd spend my summers looking up at the sky and taking pictures of flowers or trees, and I realised there's something entirely innocent and beautiful about capturing the sensitive side of things not everyone sees.

I got my first DSLR when I was 15, and I took pictures of everything. Alongside photography, I read books, and I found myself drawing many similarities between literature and photography. I came to understand that there was something incredibly human about being able to have a medium through which you can expose everything that you normally wouldn't have the courage or words for. 

All of that led me to choosing to study literature. I read more books than I ever had, and fell in love with writing more than I ever knew I could. It was then I decided I'd write my own essays. Something that was purely mine on something I wanted to be about me. Please grab yourself a cup of tea, a warm blanket and get ready to experience the thrill of the essay.
